Some students may have paints at home. You may even have some canvases or cardboard around that you can use to complete this project. All you need is one color plus black and white.

Activity 1: Practice scales
Choose one color plus black and white (you will mix your own grey).
If you have a printer at home you can print this sheet or you can make your own with a ruler.

- Find something you can mix your colors on. Waxed paper taped to cardboard works really well.
- Wash and DRY brushes frequently
- Change your water often
- Never let acrylic paint dry on your brushes
